The Alesis Harmony 54 is an entry-level portable keyboard for beginners and emerging players who want to learn how to play while exploring their creativity. It features 54 full-size keys, two built-in speakers, and 300 realistic sounds including pianos, strings, brass, woodwinds, percussion, mallets, guitars, synths, and even sound effects. It can be used to record and create songs in a wide variety of genres and even includes a microphone, so you can sing along through the speakers.
The Harmony 54 has 300 built-in auto-accompaniment rhythms in a variety of styles along with chord accompaniment, helping to flesh out your performances. You can a create custom rhythm loops using the onboard drum and percussion sounds. Sounds can be played together in Layer mode, or you can split two sounds across the keyboard in Split mode. There are 40 demo songs available, and these can be played back using the One-Key setting, where playing a single key repeatedly plays the entire demo.
In addition to the mic input, the back panel also sports a 3.5mm headphone jack that automatically mutes the speakers for private performances. The keyboard is powered by the included AC adapter or six AA batteries (not included).
