PRS' Custom 24-08 model keeps all the foundational specs of the best-selling Custom 24 intact, but takes the platform to new sonic territories. Like its Core Series counterpart, the SE Custom 24-08 features two mini-toggle coil-tap switches that individually split its humbuckers into true single-coils — for a total of eight pickup configurations. This makes it arguably one of the most versatile guitars on the market, at a fantastic price-point to boot!
The stunning PRS SE Custom 24-08 boasts a Mahogany body, delivering a warm sound with plenty of harmonic richness in the mid-range. Adorned with a amazing Flamed Maple top veneer top, this instrument's beauty is guaranteed to inspire you to pick it up and play for hours on end.
Joining the body is a bright-sounding Maple neck shaped to PRS' contemporary "Wide Thin" profile. While the material adds plenty of top-end snap to give notes more immediacy, the unique neck carve provides an incredibly modern and playable feel. The neck is also topped with a silky smooth Rosewood fingerboard that offers a luxurious touch under the fingers.
Although this particular model may be a part of the affordable SE line, PRS spared no expense when it came to the instrument's hardware appointments.
