One of the first times we got Bromo guitars in our store is back in August 2024. Originally born and crafted in Indonesia, this brand has been around since a while across other Asian countries and we were probably quite late to check it out! Better late than never, we explored all the ranges what Bromo had to offer from Rs. 9000 to Rs. 30000. We had done a review on the entry level guitar (BAA1) and we were pleasantly surprised with the build and sound quality that this model had to offer especially being under 10k! After that we had done a review on the BAT4mce that was probably the only solid mahogany top with electronics under the 20k price range. You can check out the reviews of both these guitars in the below links:

The latest guitar that we fell in love with is the Bromo BAR5ce. We honestly did not have plans to review this guitar as there were many others in the pipeline. But the moment we saw Justin Johnson praising this guitar we knew that we had to check it out! Whenever we do reviews, we select equipment’s based on certain parameters –
The bromo BAR5ce has surprisingly done well in all these parameters when it comes to comparing other guitar brands in India. Speaking first about the specs; the company has managed to give Solid Spruce top, Solid Amara ebony back and sides, ebony fretboard and bridge, ebony bridge pins, fishman electronics, a good quality gig bag and a lot of abalone inlays (literally a LOT). And when it came to comparing with other brands none had a similar offering under the price range of Rs. 30000 in India. Now when we are conducting this comparison it’s really important for our viewers to understand that we really do not invite OEM brands in this field. Speaking about the quality, we are always impressed by Indonesian manufacturers putting out a step further than industry standards! The immediate feel when you pickup this Guitar is its slight density, which is what a guitar of all solid wood should feel like. And the moment you strum the guitar it resonates uniformly creating this bold, warm, punchy tone that is right balanced across the spectrum. The fretboard also maintains a medium thin profile which is comfortable to most hands. The abalone maintains the premium look of the guitar that is usually found in high end guitars. The bromo mountains are represented across the guitar and that I feel is the pride taken by the company in the natural beauty of their home country. And last but not the least, we were pleasantly surprised to see the use of an ebony ring along the sound hole, Beautiful indeed. We have done an In-depth video of this model along with the sound check on our YouTube channel. So, if you are keen in learning more about this Guitar you should check out the below video:
